Hygiene and Safety

Safety and Hygiene are very important in our work!  We use only the highest quality FDA approved water-based theater makeup and cosmetic grade glitters.   These products are labeled hypo-allergenic; however, as an added precaution those with sensitive skin should ask for a patch test on the inside of the elbow.

As a mother of two,  I know the worries you may have regarding hygiene. We use a clean sponge for each face, disinfect our brushes as we go, and maintain clean water during painting.

I examine each child quickly before painting them and under no circumstances do I paint children who appear to be sick or suffering from cold sores, rashes, or any other skin or eye disorder. Same goes for children suffering from allergies—we do not want to add to their discomfort! I do offer a temporary tattoo or a painting on their arm if appropriate. Thank  you for your understanding!

Please be aware of the materials you see facepainters use, and do not be afraid to ask them what exactly are they using.  Remember that the only safe materials are those that are sold as Makeup or Cosmetic Grade products.  Non-toxic kids craft paint and glitters are NOT SAFE to use as facepaint.

Paintfacer and AMBodyArt are fully insured businesses.
